The Code of Practice deals with hazards and protective measures when working with pure oxygen, mixtures of oxygen and nitrogen or other inert gases with more than 21 vol.% oxygen, including oxygen-enriched air and other mixtures of oxygen and inert gases classified as "oxidizing" according to the CLP regulation (e.g. oxygen-argon mixture with 20 vol.% oxygen). M 034e is intended to support the persons concerned, especially the supervisors, in identifying and assessing the hazards, determining the necessary measures and rules of conduct, specifying the behavior in the event of danger and the first aid measures, drawing up the operating instructions and carrying out the oral instructions.
